I interviewed Austin Hamblin last May for Flickering Myth and learned a bit more about this up and coming 21 year old comic book writer from Iowa. At the time he told me he had some projects on the horizon, including a graphic novel of his original series, The Adventures of Punk and Rock.
I had no idea he was planning to do a Kickstarter and go all out to put the first five issues into a full color graphic novel (the original comic is black and white) and include bonus stories and pinups. His Kickstarter goal was for $1,000 to pay for a print run, plus various pledge prizes and has an end date of July 31st. Checking the page today, he already has 38 backers and has raised over $1,200 with 24 days left!
