Villordsutch: Bond. Classic Bond. Everything about this trailer is screaming to all classic Bond fans to come and watch it from submersible taxis, secret volcano lairs and cheeky-winks to ladies. Yet at the same time there’s a foot carefully being left on the floor of the original Kingsman, here the case in point is a bad bastard wielding their disability with devastating power.
Not much is given away from this trailer except of course the removal of the Kingsmans home, the introduction of the Statesman, the main players (though who they’re playing for we do not know) and the return of Colin Firth; for this lack of major plot spoiling I’m grateful. It looks exciting, entertaining and I am looking forward to seeing Eggsy and the remaining Kingsman save the world.
Ben Robins: It’s more Bond than Bond and I loved every second. Looks like a really neat step up for a sequel, Matthew Vaughn’s style and soundtrack choices are still beautifully in tact and the fashion: by word that fashion. Part of me is still a little bit sore that they didn’t hold back the Colin Firth reveal but for marketing sake, I’m sure they had a good reason.
Dean Abdou: The trailer had me jumping out of my chair in excitement. It looks like it’ll be another ridiculously fun action spy film paying a homage even more to the old classic Bond films. The song choice for this trailer was just perfect and minus the reveal of Harry it really didn’t give much away plot wise. All in all I’m super excited and can’t wait to see the Kingsman back on the big screen!
Helen Murdoch: Loved it, pure silliness and utter enjoyment. Amongst all the serious spy films this looks like another breath of fresh air. Revealing Harry is a bold move but let’s face it we all love Colin Firth.
Tai Freligh: This looks awesome! Classic spy movie that really makes a case for extreme Bond, i.e. taking the stock elements of a spy movie, fast cars, fancy suits, hot women, secret tunnels, gadgets, cars that convert into submarines, etc., and combining them with the slow motion martial artistry of a Jason Statham or Jackie Chan kind of movie. It looks to match the overall look and feel of the first movie, but crank it up a notch with the destruction of the mansion, introduction of The Statesman, a handicapped assassin…and the reintroduction of Harry (Colin Firth) at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie and I have no doubt that I will really enjoy the sequel.
Rob Kojder: Does it excite me as much as the trailer for the first movie did? No, something about Rob Zombie shouting song lyrics that are literally just gibberish Charlie Manson made up in prison set to the action in that movie hyped me to no end. With that said, it’s an awesome trailer and I’m loving the cowboy look of Channing Tatum. If the sequel can have an action scene even half as good as the church brawl then it’ll be a success. It’s going to be very, very hard to top the first movie but Matthew Vaughn is one of those directors I absolutely trust.
James Garcia: This looks great! It’s like the wackiness of the Roger Moore Bonds, but without creepy geriatric Roger Moore Bond! I really enjoyed the first film, and have always been a fan of Matthew Vaughn’s visual style. Looks like he really cut loose here, which is great. Awesome cast, too. I’m in.
Anghus Houvouras: I’ve seen a lot of great trailers lately. Thor: Ragnarok, Baby Driver, Atomic Blonde…This one feels kind of average in comparison to other high energy action films coming our way. I liked the first Kingsman, though I wasn’t as ludicrously excited as so many others. I thought ‘Here’s a fun movie kind of ruined by Sam Jackson’s terrible villain nonsense’. I’m interested to see where the series goes next, but it looks like im staring down the barrel of some amazing action films and this one looks tame by comparison. People keep saying this looks like Moore era Bond, but you know the thing about Moore era Bond: He was fun. Kingsman: The Golden Circle looks like Moore era Bond but it doesn’t FEEL like Moore era bond i.e. a it lacks a certain pithiness.

Luke Owen: I loved the first movie, and I am stoked for the sequel. Not the best trailer I’ve ever seen, but it looks like all the things I loved about the first movie with a little bit more spoof – which is good enough for me!
Tom Beasley: I have huge problems with the first Kingsman movie, but I at least enjoyed its comedy beats and spoof moments. It looks like this one is doubling down on the spy action at the expense of the comedy, which is an issue for me. That said, I’m very intrigued to see how the Americans fit in. Channing Tatum is always a delight.
Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman – an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set for release on September 22nd, and sees original cast members Taron Egerton (Eggsy), Sophie Cookson (Roxy), Mark Strong (Merlin), Colin Firth (Harry) joined by newcomers Julianne Moore (The Big Lebowski), Channing Tatum (22 Jump Street), Halle Berry (X-Men), Jeff Bridges (R.I.P.D.), Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and pop singer Elton John.
